Well,
that was the plan anyway...
14 miles, two short showers and
several blisters later, we raised a mammoth
£2,057 in memory of our friend and colleague Matthew
in August. WeÕd like to extend a warm thank you to all those who supported
us, donated funds and stopped us in the street for a photo opportunity
and a smile.
ABOUT MATT
Actor, comedian, new business developer, entertainer and all round superheroâ Matt is deeply missed at to the point and, in what is set to be a highly embarrassing feat, his old colleagues are dressing up in his honour and making their way through the centre of our fair capital on 28th June 2009. A total of 50 theatres will be passed along the way, with photographic evidence being taken at each place. Matthew sadly passed away earlier this year, having developed the extremely rare type of cancer, Hemangiopericytoma.
ABOUT THE CHARITY
In the US, a research fund was set up in May 2008. Until then, no research fund has been in existence for this rare disease. The fund supports clinical trials and helps to underwrite ground-breaking research in hemangiopericytoma. For further information on the fund itself, click here.
