Into the Unknown

To kick start the month our designer Joe took a voyage Into The Unknown, the latest exhibition at London’s Barbican Centre.

The genre-defining exhibition of art, design, film, and literature is a must for any science fiction enthusiast. Lucky enough to be invited to the launch, he got to indulge in movie themed delicacies such as Gruel from The Matrix, an Alien Transfusion syringe shot and Victory Gin straight from George Orwell’s classic 1984.

The immersive show is a venture through an odyssey of space and time. It’s a large collective of highly crafted movie props, concept artwork and set pieces, such as H.R. Giger’s original Xenomorph suit from ‘Alien’, an installation from the creators of Black Mirror and a contemporary piece from artist Conrad Shawcross.

The exhibition runs until the 1st September and even if sci-fi isn’t your favourable genre, anyone with interest in movies or craftsmanship should certainly take the time to visit.
