A cutting edge look for seanhanna hair salons

May 2010
to the point developed the new logo for the award winning hair salon chain, seanhanna, and now Sean has returned to the London based design consultancy, to help elevate the identity and brand across stationery, marketing materials, advertising and the website.
As well as the launch of a new salon in Bristol, seanhanna has been looking at developing the interiors of his salons, initially in their Putney salon, to create a totally new brand experience for his customers.
As part of this change, Sean has also moved from L’Oréal and teamed up with TIGI Haircare – seanhanna now stocks the TIGI range of hair products within all of its salons.
To mark the launch of Bristol, this new partnership with TIGI and the new interiors, to the point have created a refreshed identity and designed a range of materials as well as an ad campaign and templates that will be used in local press and trade journals from mid May.
Mark Stevens, Designer at to the point, says, “The brief was to create a consistent brand that would add strength and individuality across the chain. We looked at seanhanna’s target audience and created a look that would appear more elegant with a slight edginess. We did this by introducing a strong colour palette using red, black and white which creates a bold yet sophisticated look across their collateral and advertising. We also introduced an ‘Sh’ icon that could be used as a promotional device to enhance brand recognition.”
To reinforce the brand message, to the point have printed the salon materials using a high quality stock with black gloss foiling and a unique double hitting process. This captures the damask pattern feature that was picked out from the new interiors by Mark and has been introduced across the marketing materials as part of the visual language.
Sean Hanna, Managing Director of seanhanna hair salons, says, “I have worked with the team at to the point a number of times over the past few years. They have an outstanding focus on detail, which has saved our bacon on more than one occasion. I have always found their creative team enthusiastic and committed to understanding our brand and our brand values. The thing that makes us feel really ‘safe’ is that they genuinely care about the quality of the work they do.”
To the point will be delivering the finished print next week for distribution to all the salons and will then be advising regarding the application of the brand to the website.
