FSA gets To The Point
The financial services authority (FSA), the UK's principle financial regulator, is tasked with improving public understanding of the financial system. To The Point, the London based design agency, won a highly competetive pitch to shape and deliver a communications strategy through providing consumers with impartialinformation and advice. One of the key challenges was the need to design literature that was eye-catching, but was also different to the majority of financial services companies. To The Point MD Simon Hutton said, the winning concept would create essential printed material that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. "We've used a magnifying glass concept to draw attention to the key points, and used a 'hand written' script to add an informal look. Colour coding and clearly defined headings on the covers identify the various subject categories". "The essence of the design is about the effective communication of an often complex and confusing area". First titles of the new consumer literature will be issued from July onwards. To The Point has also been commissioned to work on further titles, as well as literature design guidelines. |
