Revitalised & refreshed

to the point have revised the brand identity for AquaCity, the award winning, luxury eco-friendly water park resort that’s revitalising tourist interest in Slovakia.

The revised identity is part of an ambitious expansion programme to meet the growing popularity of eco-tourism and public interest in Green leisure pursuits. The resort itself is built over a natural geothermal spring and claims to be the first of its kind in Europe, attracting a diverse mix of multi-national visitors.

Jennifer Perry, Marketing consultant for AquaCity in London and Poprad, Slovakia, explained, ‘it was a demanding brief. AquaCity’s customer base is composed of 5 different nationalities and had to appeal to multi-cultural audiences over a variety of different media - without compromise to the design integrity and to form a consistent, manageable and effective brand.’

Further expansion is planned and AquaCity is in discussion with the Eden Project creators, Grimshaw and Partners to combine ecology, architecture and leisure with distinctive, sustainable, low-impact developments.

Jan Telensky, the entrepreneurial owner and driving force behind Aquacity believes in visionary change, saying, ‘AquaCity was built on the principle that protecting the environment offers real benefits for our customers, our community and our environment.’

Simon Hutton, managing director of to the point outlines the scale of the project ‘having re-shaped the brand identity to carry its core values and support the marketing drive on western Europe, we have progressed the project by developing an easily accessible guidelines document to implement the identity and manage the brand from their design studio in Slovakia. Our first public publication for AquaCity introduces a fresh new look for their pan-european brochure setting the benchmark for future material’.

The resort is certified by the eco-tourism Green Globe standard and won the prestigious Green Apple award in 2005 for environmental best practice. Building upon an already successful launch, AquaCity is projecting visitor numbers to reach 8,000 per day in 2006. To the point continues to practice creative strategies and design consultancy across AquaCity’s international vision.
