EPSRC - Impact! World - website design and creation

To compliment our concept work on the 'Impact!' campaign for EPSRC we were asked to develop an innovative website to allow people to interact and engage with stories and films about how engineering and science are helping to change and build the world around us.

The brief called for a site that was very different to what you’d expect from the science community - with a strong visual look and encouragements for the user not just to access stories in a linear fashion, but to explore and play. We created 'Impact! World' and commissioned illustrator Ben Kirchner to deliver our vision with an individual look that we have brought to life with subtle flash animations.

Through user testing and feedback we ensured there were always several different ways to navigate the site (including keyboard access for those unable to use the mouse).
