​Great Lengths full Bonds can last up to 5 months, if well maintained. Tape Extensions can last up to 4-6 weeks but the hair can be used and reapplied, two more times. Potential wear can be extended if specialist aftercare products are used. Your Colourists will advise you on aftercare products during your consultation.  

Great Lengths’ unique Bonds and Tapes have been scientifically proven not to cause damage to healthy hair, if the extensions have been well maintained. 

Great Lengths are high quality extensions, applied by top Colour Experts. Our team have been specially trained and certified by Great Lengths to assure your extensions are applied correctly. 

Great Lengths hair extensions are made from 100% human hair, your hair care routine will be very similar to your current one. The only key differences is you will wash your hair less frequently, it must always be dried after washing, and the hair needs to be brushed more regularly. 

​Depending on the type of extensions you choose to have, the removal process will be slightly different. With Bond Extensions, they will be removed by using a special removal gel. Unlike Bonds, Tapes are separated from the hair by using a spray. Your Colourists will remove your Bonds or Tapes without causing any damage to the hair. 

No! Please don’t try to remove your extensions at home, as this could cause damage to both your hair and scalp. You will need to rebook a removal appointment at the salon, and one of our fully certified Colourists will remove your extensions. 

During the removal process, your hair will be washed and conditioned to remove any residue from the removal gel or spray. This is all included in your service; if you have maintained your extensions there will be no damage to the hair.  

​You may find that your natural hair has grown back quicker than usual but feel lighter and thinner. This is perfectly normal and is a placebo effect of wearing extensions.  

​Depending on how well the extensions have been maintained, there should be no damage to your own hair and will continue to grow underneath the extensions. Most guests prefer to have their extensions removed and refitted on the same day to keep their long locks!  

Should you need it, your Colourist will you advise you on resting periods between extension visits.
