Let’s #BounceBackBetter

The retail, hospitality and leisure sectors currently hang by a thread. Reimposing a national lockdown brought many businesses to their knees, but falling back into a tiered system may very well prove to be their final nail in the coffin.

As a successor to the #RaiseTheBar campaign, Matthew Sims, CEO of Croydon BID and Katie Blake of Kallaway have launched #BounceBackBetter – a campaign comprising of 4 ‘asks’ which are vital to the survival and recovery of businesses, towns and cities across England.

Tasked with creating the branding and website for a campaign with a targeted turnaround time of 3 days, it was vital that TTP worked quickly to help launch this initiative in the hope of providing support to these hard-hit sectors as soon as possible.

We designed speech bubbles for each ask and gave them a bit of character with the intention of incorporating a more playful aspect to balance out the serious nature of the content. With a strong use of contrasting colour throughout to help differentiate between the asks, each one has been assigned its own bubble character with the simple headline of what that ‘ask’ is hoping to achieve for the industry.

As well as the use of bold typography and the bubble characters, we’ve reinforced what sectors are being affected with the use of imagery. We specifically chose the imagery of real people to highlight the human aspect of this campaign, and how fundamental it is to their livelihoods.

The final campaign kit included a wordpress website, www.raisethebarcampaign.co.uk, a downloadable PDF version of the website with relevant links, a downloadable toolkit of 10 social media templates for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram for supporters to use and share, and the branding of the banners and icons for these platforms. The campaign is well underway and already attracting recognition and a good following.

Matthew Sims posted on linkedIn:

“We’ve worked with Simon Hutton and the team for years but I have to say, this campaign was something a little special. It showed how tothepoint came together as a complete unit to deliver an exceptional creative campaign in three days flat, complete with website. Totally stunning.”
