At the heart of Stack PhotoBooth is Lumens, their elegant free-standing photobooth, named after Adam’s daughter. Crafted with precision, it is encased in a custom-built American Black Walnut structure, skillfully made by close friend and artisan Manu Bhangra. Lumens features a sleek and sophisticated design that seamlessly complements any venue. Equipped with a Canon R100 camera and an iPad, the booth operates completely wirelessly, printing instantly via a nearby Dye Sublimation Photo Printer.
The company’s website, stack-photobooth.co.uk, is a custom-built platform designed to minimise reliance on plugins, both to reduce costs and to provide an opportunity to develop a fully independent and complex website. It serves as the main point of contact for clients, detailing the company’s offerings while providing an intuitive booking experience.
Following an event, photos taken from both booths are uploaded to users’ profiles, where they can be easily shared via secure links with password protection to ensure privacy.
As part of the learning process behind building the platform, Adam also developed an automated system that integrates with Google Apps. Payment details are automatically logged into Google Sheets to track transactions and tax records. Additionally, once a deposit or invoice is paid, the system not only updates the website’s booking calendar to prevent double bookings but also generates a Google Calendar event, inviting participants to access event details and booth timings seamlessly.
