The short film, shot in a “talking heads” style, focused on heartfelt interviews with alumnae and a parent of a JAGS alumna who had benefitted from the bursary program. They shared how the support they received at JAGS enabled them to access a world-class education that otherwise might have been out of reach. They spoke openly about how the financial assistance went beyond just covering tuition, also providing support for uniforms, school trips, lunches, transport and clubs and co-curricular activities—ensuring that all students enjoy the full JAGS experience..
Video is an incredibly effective medium for storytelling, offering an emotional connection that words alone often can’t achieve. Through their personal stories, the alumnae were able to convey the real, life-changing impact of JAGS’ bursary program, making the school’s mission resonate with viewers in a powerful and authentic way. Seeing the faces and hearing the voices of those whose lives were transformed brought a new depth to the narrative, turning abstract ideas about financial aid into relatable and inspiring journeys.
The film has since become a key part of JAGS’ fundraising efforts, used in a bursary campaign and shown at events to engage their community of alumnae, parents, staff, and supporters. By providing a vivid portrayal of the difference the bursary program makes, the film has helped to build a sense of connection and shared purpose within the JAGS community. It has raised awareness of the importance of donating to the JAGS Bursary Fund and encouraged many to support.
Our collaboration with JAGS showed how video can be a powerful tool for amplifying a message – capturing the heart of the story, reaching new audiences, and driving action. We are proud to have contributed to JAGS’ mission to create a brighter future for talented students, and helping them secure new supporters to their campaign.
