Apteriors brand overview

Apteriors, known for their skills in crafting outstanding interior spaces with their FFE (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) and Fit Out services, asked us to ‘up their game’ with an exciting new website and brand refresh.

The brief

Apteriors have vast experience in public sector projects and big-scale ventures, due mainly to their belief in delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions. This is counter-balanced with a strong residential and property portfolio where style and design aesthetics are as important as longevity and durability. It was important that the brand refresh and new website appealed to both audiences.

The creative idea

Our approach was reflected at entry-level with the logo. A simple ‘A’ devise (representing precision and a perfect fit), was sophisticated enough to appeal to a residential, design-led audience, while its solidity, simplicity and confidence appealed to a larger corporate client where style is less important.

Designs that deliver

The forward slash (shard) device, taken directly from the ‘A’ of the logo, fed through into the design aesthetic of the website as a whole and had multiple uses, constantly reinforcing the logo and the brand. When this device was combined with cropping an image or used as tint laying in the background the extra addition of motion to the shard devices added further sophistication to the site.

The rich colour palette combined with subtle tint laying also appealed to both distinctly different audiences. The sophistication of the residential property market and the dependability and durability of the larger public sector market.

Studio FFE is the manufacturing arm of the company and part of the brief was to communicate the close ties with Apteriors and where possible, reflect the manufacturing element of the organisation.

Initial concepts

We explored several design approaches that ranged from subtle and stylish, similar to the Apteriors logo, to bold, daring concepts that focused on the manufacturing element. The examples shown here are indicative of some of the approaches we took.
