NFX UK Brand Identity

We created the brand and website for Novel Foods Network (NFX UK), using bold visuals and dynamic design to reflect its collaborative spirit and foster engagement across all levels.

The brief

We were commissioned by RSSL to develop a new brand and website for the Novel Foods Network (NFX UK). Backed by Innovate UK and led in collaboration with Imperial College London and The Supplant Company, the network aims to connect innovators with regulatory and scientific expertise to accelerate the approval and adoption of novel food technologies. The brand needed to establish authority, foster collaboration, and position the UK as a leader in this rapidly evolving field.

The creative idea

We created a brand identity centred on connection, collaboration, and growth. The logo, inspired by the hexagon and built from seven circles, symbolises resilience, diversity, and shared expertise. A dual colour palette balances authority with energy, while interconnecting graphic elements and circular photography reinforce the themes of community and innovation.
We extended the identity across digital platforms, with static and animated assets that brought the brand to life. The website was designed as a two-phase launch: first as a preview hub to build awareness and engagement, then as a full knowledge-sharing platform featuring resources, events, and networking opportunities for the novel foods community.

We created a circular photographic device and visual template that the client is able to use for in-house presentations and materials.

This provided a unique, instantly recognisable image style that reflects the organisation’s innovative character. The focal effect was generated by overlaying all seven circles from the logo.

Continuing our work with NFX, we are developing a ‘phase 2’ website which will open up the Knowledge Hub to subscribed members to access exclusive documents, regulatory information and hold discussions via a new members only forum.
