The creative idea
Twitter is all about the use of words and expression of opinions, where users post and interact with tweets that are simple and snappy.
We decided that the impressive reception area should reflect and embody this ethos. As a twist, however, we moved away from the propensity to use screens, mobiles and iPads. We thought it would be refreshingly different to represent words and text through the medium of a huge letterpress wall (one of the oldest, original forms of compiling messaging and words).
We designed and installed a 20 metre 3D typographic wall that comprised of Twitter’s most famous tweets from politicians, actors, pop stars and other celebrities.
